Vehicle Insurance Bonding

Scenario

Traffic stop resulting in driver with no vehicle insurance.

  • Driver has valid license with no previous convictions.
  • Driver's abstract shows clean record.
  • Driver is an Illinois resident
  • Probable cause for stop was no tail lights
  • Two movers to be written:
    • Required Lighting (MCC 9-76-050(c) or 625 ILCS 5/12-201(b))
    • Operation of uninsured motor vehicle (MCC 9-80-250 or 625 ILCS 5/3-707)
